I have spent many years photographic sporting events, with a very heavy tilt towards automobile racing. There is something about racing that got in my blood from an early age, around the time that I watched my first Indy 500 on television. I was mesmerized as a kid, and then later I attended my first race. I was instantly hooked. From that point on, I have taken every opportunity to attend races, everything from the 500 to drag racing to boat racing. It really gets me going.
